200 Year Old House Renovation

One of our most respected clients. This home has been in their family, generation after generation. It is over 200 years old and located in prestigious Lawrenceville, Georgia. Older than the city itself, I know it has many stories to tell. It has been my privilege to become the preferred contractor of the family and to be restoring this beautiful home as close to original condition as historically possible.  All of the lumber used in constructing the home was milled and hand hewed from timber that actually grew on the property. This home is built to breathe, without insulation or heating and air conditioning. The rock foundation and six masonry fireplaces are all original and are holding strong. The original framing is held together at the roof ridge by wooden nails (also made on-site). They sure knew how to build them back then. With original hand split, air dried pine siding and all original windows and shutters. It truly is a historical site.
